Stampendous Aged Embossing Enamel

Just a quick post blog friends!

I received my SSS parcel yesterday and in it was my Stampendous Aged Embossing Enamel and Goosebumps Texture Spray! Now I know most of my International fiends will know these products, but I just had to show how amazing these are!

This is why I so love visiting  blogs and galleries, for I get exposed to different and interesting products, only problem is, it's most often not available over here, and I then have to rely on on-line shopping!

First up is the Embossing Enamel, I have seen various scrappers use this, and it is stunningly amazing!!! It is a colour enamel with gold and bronze granules in it resulting in the most amazing look!

Here are some shots to show you the different colours I got....

Ivory

Rose

Green

Taupe

Black

I made an experiment with ordinary gold and blue embossing powder, It gives an allrightich look, but not the same as this....and here is the reason why...Just look at all the different size and colour granules in the powder! My first project is on the table and as soon as this is posted, I am jumping right into it!

This look is achieved with the Goosebumps Spray....What a fun product it turned out to be! The effect one gets is the same as with any resist technique, but this just is so much easier and although you can stamp with it, I think my main use will be to use it on bigger areas as you just spray and wait a few minutes to dry and then you can get in with distress inks or sprays. As opposed to stamping, spraying will give different looks each time.

That's it for now friends...I am of to create...hope to bring you a project soon using these products. Thanks for taking the time to read my review...lol!

Treasure

This LO was auctioned at a recent Scrap Marathon...I was very happy that it fetched a good price and the money will be donated to the local animal welfare!

I used Prima papers and some Ingvild products. My Dusty Attic pieces were all primed, some gesso added and painted with various colours of paints and a little fairy dust added! I separated the leaves before painting, just love the dimension one achieves that way! The photo is an image taken from the internet...I used the October sketch from Dusty Attic done by Mistra...

See the lovely texture the Gesso gave to the Dusty chippie? The border was achieved by stamping with a Just Right Clear stamp / Classic Lace Edge Two, embossed with clear embossing powder and die cut with a Spellbinder Edgeability Die...

The Prima Shabby Chic Treasure was painted as well to tie in with the papers and flowers....That's the beauty of these pieces, they can either be used as is or painted as you like, ether way, they are beautiful to work with!

One of my favourite Dusty pieces has to be the grass clusters, and doesn't the mini Bird House just look to sweet with it's little open door?

This is a favourite technique of mine with the Dusty chippies, they layer so easily and give so much dimension when stacked back together.

Thank you for your visit ...hope to see you again soon....

Sweet Memories

Hello blog friends! Well it seems as if being on 8 bottles of Homoeopathic drops might be starting to have a positive effect on me...and consequently my scrapping! Since taking the meds, I am definitely feeling better, my hands are not shaking and cramping as before and I just generally am starting to feel healthier ..high time I think as well...lol!

So much so that I was able to create this LO yesterday...It is once again Michelle's Gr 12 Farewell dance photos...This was a fun moment were I wanted her friend Jaco to piggyback her...not an easy task it turned out to be...due to a very full and long dress!

I used Mistra's sketch at Dusty Attic, just flipped and rotated it a (little) bit. The papers are from Prima's Rondelle Collection. I stamped and splashed them with texture paint and gave them a generous spraying with both Perfect Pearl Mist's and Lindys Stamp Gang Mists....Hope you like the out come...

Some close ups and techniques...

I love the clock faces but the white did not work on the papers and I wanted some texture, ended up by swiping some Tea Dye Distress Ink over it with a few grains of Clear UTEE. Just love the texture it now has!!!

Same with the window...a little swipe of Lindys Moon Shadow Mist and I have a perfect distressed look.

I have had a few sets of Prima Candy Gems, but never liked the full strand on a page...Duh!... Why have I never thought of using them loose before??? Now they look perfect as random accents here and there...

I used a Prima Vine cut into pieces, here together with some more gems...

A good close up showing the stamped image and the misting, the red is Perfect Pearls /Forever Red and the green is the lovely Lindys Moon Shadow Mist; Treasured Island Turquoise...Love, love, love the effect of the brown undertone with the green shimmer... magical!!! The circle is die cut, and inked with Black Soot and embossed with Ranger Antiquities Frosted crystal embossing...giving it a lovely textured feel.

See the lovely effect of the Moon Shadow Mist, peeping from under a Prima Le Coque flower? The Dusty Attic chippies were this time just sprayed with some Red Perfect Pearl Mist.

These last two close up's show some of the effects of the splashing of the texture paint and mists... Thank you for taking the time to travel through my post today...have a peaceful week and remember to love yourself...

...African Dusty...

Finally...after a very long absence I have some thing to post again! As most of my friends know, I am having difficulties with very shaky hands and terrible headaches...made it difficult to scrap and me and my Mojo took a bit of a nose dive :-).

I found these cute little easels and canvases in a craft shop over the weekend and had to try my hand at some canvas work...this is only 7x7 cm big...I  might gradually advance to some bigger pieces, for I had fun playing with this little mini! I am planning of giving this one as a gift, hoping the recipient will love it as much as I do!

I used an Ivy stencil and with Texture Paint build some Ivy leaves on the canvas. The corner element is a metal corner piece that I altered by using my new Emboss Gloss ( gonne love this little wand applicator!)...and Platinum UTEE, and coloured it with Alcohol Inks. The leaves are Dusty's Leafy Stems #3 small, that were left over from a previous project. They were painted and sprinkled with some Diamond Dust. The canvas was sprayed with various Perfect Pearl Mists from Ranger.

Just see how well Africa and Dusty go together? The Mother and Baby are also a metal piece with a little Green Patina Mist worked into the crevasses. On the mini Potion Bottle I glued some string, covered with some crinkled foil and also applied Alcohol Inks to.

I sprayed the Swirl Vine #2 with Lindys Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist; Landlubber Green, which gave it a beautiful brown base with a green shine. Again using the Emboss Gloss, I added some clear UTEE. Because I love to randomly add UTEE, this is the perfect way to add just a little touch here and there...much more control over were my UTEE will be added!

The netting effect you see, is achieved with another product that I picked up and think I am going to work with some more...It is called 'Tokreen" I painted some gauge with the Tokreen and shaped it to my liking, it then dries to a stiff texture...I would appreciate any comments if any one knows more about Tokreen and what to do with it...

Even the little easel wasn't spared this time! It was a plain pine easel...I painted it black, distressed it with a distressing hammer, sanded the edges and also gave it a generous spray with Lindys....

All in all I am quiet happy with this little mini, and am going to being doing some more of them in future. Hope you liked my little Art work....
