Scrap Africa Challenge 15

Love you

I am the host for this challenge at Scrap Africa. My challenge is to use only card stock, at least 3 colours which can be altered any which way, stamped, inked, embossed ect! I am so impressed with our guest designers Heather Jacobs, Amber van Niekerk and Tone.K and of course the talented design team girls!!! They really did this challenge justice...

I used green, cream, tan, white and some darker cream card stock.

I first misted the cream card stock with Squeezed Lemon and Mustard Seed mists, stamped an image and finally used a stencil and some coloured gesso.

I embossed the tan card stock in an inked embossing folder.

The green card stock was stamped and embossed with Ivory Aged enamel embossing powder.

I stamped the card stock with a green image before making the concertina folded flowers!

Marivic from Zeus and Zoe is offering a $35.00 voucher for a randomly drawn winner...

And I am sponsoring this as another prize to a random winner!

I hope to see many lovely entry's to this challenge!

~~~ Liebster Award ~~~
Today I got a most amazing mail telling me that Di Garling has awarded my blog with die Liebster award!!!
More than being awarded with the award...it could not have been given to me by a more caring, friendly and all round amazing person and scrapper! Di has the ability to make me feel like we are life long friends and I could just pop in to have a cuppa and a chat at any time...Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the honour Di...I will display this on my blog with pride...
The Liebster Award was designed to be a blog award in the pay it forward fashion. It is awarded to blogs that have fewer than 200 followers to encourage new visitors to them. Once you have been nominated, you award it to five other blogs.
The rules are: post the award on your blog, give the award to 5 bloggers who you appreciate that have fewer than 200 followers then leave a comment on their blogs to let them know you have given them this award.
There are so many that I would love to award and it was most difficult to pick just 5 friends... Two of them are brand new bloggers and I truly hope that by me awarding them, they will receive more viewers for I truly enjoy their blogs and work that they do...
So these are my chosen 5....
Lee Dreyer...Life is a Hoot...
Lee is a fellow South African, what I love about her blog is her fun and innovating style of journalling and her photos that she places on her blog... And then her scrapping is also something to behold! Keep up the good work Lee...!!!
Debbie Stevens...Paperpastimes...
Debbie is a card maker par exelance! She creates the most stunning cards using Spellbinder Dies...And her little flower arrangements are also little darlings!
Athanasia...Me and Myself...
This girl is one of those crazy talented background artists! She creates magic with paint and stencils and pastes but still keeps the focus on her photographs...I am a silent stalker of her work...most deserving of this award!
Kay Wallace...Kay Wallace;Art Journaling...
Kay is also a great journal-er...I think the reason I appreciate the journalists is because that is a field I am lacking in...words just don't come easy to me...lol...yes that is a song lyric!!! She is also great in creating
colourful journalling pages...
Amy Voorthuis...Amy's Pretty Papers...
Amy is also a new friend of mine, we are both on the DT for Imaginarium Designs and she is from my country of birth, The Nederlands! Also such a friendly person always taking time to comment on my work! I appreciate you and your work very much!
These then are my nominees for the Liebster Award...Many of whom I would also love to nominate are already wayyyyy over 200 followers! I hope this small act of kindness will push these bloggers to those numbers soon...Please take the time to visit and join their blogs, I promise you will not be disappointed!
My girl and a Tag Caddie
 And in the blink of an eye it's March and time for me to post again for Imaginarium Designs...This time I am paring gorgeous ID chipboard with the beautiful papers from Pion Designs...and don't you just think they go perfect together? This is once again my beautiful daughter Chantelle.
I love the design of the Vine Flourish...it adds such an elegant touch to my LO! I first painted it with gesso and then with various Inx from Donna Salazar. After a liberal spraying with Lindys Stamp Gang mist, I covered it with coarse salt and let it dry...that resulted in the speckled effect. I treated all the chipboard in the same manner.
I cut the 's' of from the phrase "My Girls".
I used the For Mother Collection from Pion Designs, Bouquet of flowers and Pink Porcelain. I created folds in the paper, inked the edges and embossed with Lindys Stamp Gang embossing powder, Jade. I also stamped the two corner flourishes with the same colour.
The two heart embellishments, La Coeur from Prima's shabby Chic Treasures are also embossed with LSG Peacock.
For this LO I used the following pieces...
Heart Top Picket fence IDB 0005
My Girls Phrase IDP 0035
Vine Flourish IDF 0004
 For this project Imaginarium meets another of my favourites...Tim Holtz...and they most certainly make a very good team!
On this side I used a piece of the James Border and some small Main Letter Set letters. The border I treated with Distress Embossing powder and Distress Inks. The letters I inked and stamped with Mix'd Media Inx.
This Steam Punk Clock I just adore!!! All grunge'd up and all....again inked with Mix'd Media Inx and embossed with clear UTEE.
Here I used a piece from the 4 Circles with Lines Border and James Corners. The border was treated the same as the clock and the corners the same as the border. And any guesses who the ID cards represent??? Wink, wink...
Another piece from the James border and 2 small Edward Relief's .. also distressed with Distress embossing Powders and inked with Distress Ink...
A few close ups to show the texture on the chipppies!
I used the following pieces...
4 Circles Border with Lines IDB 0002
Steam Punk Clock IDS 0030
James Border IDB 009
Main Letter Set Uppercase Small IDA 0006
James Corners IDC 0010
Thank you so much for having a look at my post...feel free to visit my personal blog  Between the Sheets were I will post a few more close ups...
