A page for the Nov Tresors de Luxe Challenge.

Hello friends...
I am always up for a challenge and even though it has been slow going lately, I just had to use the gorgeous November mood board offered by Tresors de Luxe Challenge. It is full of Autumn colours and has the most amazing images...I was inspired by the colours {so me}, the leaves and the little Birdie...

I used Dusty Attic Chipboards and Petaloo Flowers.

The Vintage Clock #2 was inked and aged with some crackle paint.

From the Tresors de Luxe store I used a few pieces of lace and these stunning Rustic Brown and Black Feather Shabby Chic Flowers...

Lucy's laces are soooooo gorgeous, but I just had to distress them a little to add character to the page. I inked them with some  Coral Berry Luminarte Twinklings and a few grains of Bronze UTEE that was heat-set with a heat gun.

I took some inspiration to dress my Corner Flourish #4 chippie from this video and canvas by Gabrielle Pollacco, but where she used some dimensional paint to add details to her pieces...I inked mine in green and then added details with some String-glue, when dried, I inked it with brown ink to highlight the raised areas.

I inked the background with the same Coral Berry inks, which gives a lovely pinkish shine when moved, added some stencilling with Studio 490 White texture Paste and splattered some ink and black ink with a paintbrush.

The cute little hearts are also from Lucy's store, they are Braided Lace with Beaded Hearts...cute, aren't they?

This is the lovely moodboard...and links to the Blog and Etsy Store.

From  Dusty Attic I used the following...
  Corner Flourish #4: DA 0873
Vintage Clock #2: DA 0262

Thank you for visiting and wishing you a lovely weekend...

Dusty Attic DT Announcement
Lindy's Colours Challence

It is with great excitement that I can announce that I will be a Dusty girl next year!!!! Great shout out to Jennifer Hedger, Jenny Burns and all the old and new DT members...Awesome Scrappers and amazing product...Bring on 2015!

To celebrate I combined my love for Chipboard and Lindy's Stampgang Sprays on this canvas that I created to take part in the Lindy's October colour challenge.

To achieve texture I applied coarse Texture Gel and drywall tape. I did some stamping and misted with Clam Bake Beige Spray.

All my flowers and the cotton-ball buds were white. They were coloured with Clam Bake Beige and Orange Creamsickle. The lace flowers were also coloured with Clam Bake Beige and Bodacious Blush.

The Dusty Attic pieces were Gesso'd and inked with Evergreen Bough Distress Stain, Dandilion Archival Ink and a little UTEE.

I did some misting with LSG Azure Sea Asters, Black Orchid Silver, Bodasious Blush and Orange Creamsickle.

I embossed the butterfly with LSG embossing powders, Cosmic Pink Blue and Desert Moon Turquoise.

More texture with stencils and Translucent Embossing Paste and LSG Peacock Angel Wings embossing powder...

The Tim Holtz Bookplate was also Gesso'd and painted with LSG Azure Sea Asters, Black Orchid Silver and Orange Creamsickle Sprays.

The Dusty Lavender Blooms were sprayed with Clam Bake Beige and some Dandelion Ink.

Sugar & Spice

This is my page done for the October Sketch challenge hosted by Once Upon a Sketch...Our journalling theme this month is "The Woman/Girl in our Lives". Therefore I scrapped these photos of the two most important and gorgeous girls in my two Daughters!

As the title suggests, they truly are Sugar and Spice..two very different personalities, I won't say who is which just hope they both realise how important they are to me, and how terribly proud I am of both of them...Oh yes, they both have their difficulties and can be full of nonsense, but I have never had to be ashamed of them and can only say, I am Proud to be your Mother!!!

I have used papers from the Prima Songbird collection, a Pima 12x12 stencil, Resin embellishments and various Prima flowers!

I punched and layered several strips of paper to mimic the notepad design on the paper.

The stencilling was done with Translucent Paste and Stampendous Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel. I added colour to the page using Steampunk Sepia Magicals and Pegleg Pete's Purple Moonshadow Mist, both from Lindy's Stampgang.

Some hand stitching with a few added Pearl Beads. They were white and I coloured them with a few drops of Alcohol Ink.

(I flipped the sketch and used two photos instead of one)

Thank you for your visit, leaving you with these words that I am very sure runs true in many households....

Sisters annoy,
 Indulge in monumental sulks,
 in huffs,
 in snide remarks.
Monopolize the bathroom.
Are always underfoot.
But if catastrophe should strike,
 sisters are there.
 Defending you against all comers.
