Happy Birthday card....

Good Morning Blog friends....

Having a few male birthdays coming up soon, I created this masculine card that I am sharing with you today. For this card I used two embossing folders from Couture Creation.

One of our newest ranges is the Marriot Collection which includes this beautiful, detailed Wire Barbs embossing folder. I also used an earlier released folder from the Who What Wear collection, Driving Miss Daisy. I also used two sheets of Patterned Papers from the Sew Jo Paper Pad.

I taped a piece of  foil to a piece of cardstock and embossed it with the Wire Barbs folder. I then coloured it with three colours of Alcohol Inks. I used it as a border strip and also as a small tag on the card.

For the car I used a light blue and black sheet of  Core Color cardstock from Core'dinations. My sanding was of course done with my Couture Creation Sanding block. I layered the wheels with 3D Foam Dots and also layered the doors. I also used a little Black Glitzin Glamour Glitter glue on the roof and wheels of the car.

Couture Creations cards for June....

Hello dear friends on this Friday the 13th!!!!

Today I have two cards created with Couture Creation  products that I would love to share with you...

For this funky card I used a sheet of Black and Pink Cardstock from Color Core Core'dinations. I layered two sheets and embossed the top layer using the uber cool Great Fubu embossing folder from The Marriot Collection. The pink paper is from the Damask Delight paperstack.

After sanding the raised embossed areas, I used several colours of Glitzin glamour Glitter Glue to the images...the colours I used are, Aztec Gold, Green, Hot Pink, Lilac and Purple.

This Dragonfly is proving difficult to photograph! I did layer two black solids and the one pink Die-cut, and also have some Crystalina Glitter Glue on it. It is placed on top of a Victorian Square Nestling Die together with the word Explore...Both the Dragonfly and word are from The Van Roe Collection.

I used my Couture creation sanding block to expose the pink colour core of the paper.

This next card is a little more elegant...

I embossed two strips of paper using the Chain Wire folder from The Marriot Collection and placed it with a piece of lace at the top and bottom of my card.

I also embossed a piece of whitewashed Core'dinations paper with the Large Only Me folder, also from The Marriot collection and also sanded it with the sanding block.

For my focal point I layered two Oval Nesting Dies with a Royal Oval Die on top. To add some interest I also layered a piece of the Quick Release Die paper between the layers.

I adged the Royal Oval Die with crackle paint and brown ink.

Thank you for visiting me...Below are the links to the products I used, all of which are from the Couture Creation Shop.

Embrace your Dreams ~ Timeless Kit for Scraps of Elegance

A new day...A new week...may it be a Happy and productive week for all my friends.
When I saw the preview of the June kit "Timeless' from Scraps of Elegance, I could not contain my excitement for apart from all the other goodness that Melinda has put together for this kit...it also contained paper from 7 Dots Studio!!! A big Hooray for me as this paper is not available in South Africa and I have been dying to use it! We have gotten some of the Nature Walk collection and must say it is all that I hoped it would be...It is a sturdy paper, just ready for all the mixed media products that are so popular these days. And I must congratulate the designer of the range, DeeDee Catron who b.t.w is Guest Designing for Scraps of Darkness for June and July, with the amazing designs...I am loving the grungy feel of the collection!

For this photo of Chantelle I used Gray Day, Songbird and Winged Vines from Nature Walk. I did my masking using the a Damask stencil from Teresa Collins, in the Main kit and the branches stencil from Joggles, in the Creativity add-on.

The flowers are from Prima and I even used the packaging for the die-cut piece and the 'Time Traveler's' little tag. On the page I only used a few snippets of the black lace ribbon from the Embellishment add-on.

These are two of the Prima Metal Clips, also from the Main kit.

I created a border using the Craft Tapes from Docrafts Madam Payraud's added in the Embellishment add-on.

Three tags from Melissa Frances tied together with the string from the Kit and a brad from my own stash. I also did some stamping on my background with various of my own stamps.

The golden sheen shown here is from last month Colour add-on, the Prima Color Bloom 'Tea Stain'.

I absolutly love this swirl image on the Winged Vines paper and think the Prima frame complimented it perfectly...I painted the frame with the Olive Vine Silks Glaze from the Creativity add-on, dabbed a little black paint on to it and lastly rubbed some gold paste on the raised areas. The black flowers are from Petaloo, in the Flower add-on. The centre of the flower is a glass pebble from the Main kit that I coloured with some caramel alcohol ink. I used Studio 490 embossing paste with the Damask stencil and with the stensil still in place, I misted with the Irresistible Colored Texture Spray, Desert Sand from the Colour add-on. The texture spray gives a plastic like feel and look to the image...I wish you could see and feel it i.r.l...just loving it!

Some more of the coloured glass pebbles and another stencilled branch. The branches also got a little gold paste rubbed on.
