~~ You & Me ~~
November 2021 Dusty Attic Blogpost

Hello dear Blogfriends...
Today I am sharing a page for Dusty Attic using one of the photos taken during the Photoshoot we had as a family a few month ago, this is me and Hubby...
I used paper and cutouts from the Craft O'clock collection, Time of Reflections.

I first gesso'd the Botanical Ring and the Lemon Leaves. The leaves I colored by pressing a Delicata Golden Glitz Inkpad from Tsukineko onto them a few times. It really gave a rich Golden color to them.
I used Art Alchemy waxes, Vintage Silk and Sweet Rose on the Botanical Ring and the Leafy Scroll. Both pieces were cut and placed on either side of my photo.

The Swirly Flourish and Mini Caption I colored by mixing Liquid Metals, Metallic Mandarin from Ken Oliver and Alizarin Crimson Brushos powder with some liquid Gel medium resulting in the beautiful two-toned effect. I thinned the mixture with some water and painted the Brackets and Word Tag with it.

Some flowers, Lace, Skeleton Leaves, Chunky Glitter and Metallic Flakes are added to finish this loving page...

From the Dusty Attic On-line shop I used the following products.

Thank you and Happy Crafting till we meet again....

Happiness cannot be traveled to,
  owned,
earned,
worn or consumed.
Happiness is the spiritual experience
of living every minute with love,
 grace,
 and gratitude.

~Find a Way...~
A Journal page for Scraps of Darkness on-line shop

How are you all doing today...? Busy scrapping and creating I hope!
I had some creative time playing in my journal again. This time using products from the Scraps of Darkness on-line shop. I am still using my Strathmore Visual Journal from an earlier Scraps of Elegance Kit. I really do enjoy using and getting to know different mediums, and playing in an Art Journal is the perfect way to experiment with them...

I started by embossing some floral images in the corners using clear embossing powder which will act as a resist once I start misting. I also used texture paste through a stencil for added texture. For colour I used the following. I started by spraying with Prima Color Bloom; Iris and Soft Teal. I also used Colourcraft Brusho's: Black and Purple.

I had to use the US Artquest Prills: I'm A-maized on the page as well. After spraying and drying the Prima Color Blooms, I started playing with the Brusho's. I wet the areas were I wanted to use them with water and then carefully shook some of the pigment powder on the area. I used more water to get the powder to run and settle between the textured images.

Some Prima wooden elements, Cheesecloth and word stickers make up my elements clusters.

You will be able to find the linked products here in the Scraps of Darkness on-line shop.

Yesterday's the past,
tomorrow's the future,
but today is a gift.
That's why it's called the present.
