~~~Celebrating You~~~
March 2019 - 13arts Challenge 76
And with this I post my first challenge as a 13arts Design Team member...
Knowing the amazing work done by Designers on the Team has challenged me to dig deep and produce work that is worthy being on the Team...Nothing like a healthy dose of 'competition' right...
I was inspired by the cute little Baby feet in the photo, thus I used a 30 odd year old photo of my eldest daughter's Christening. Also loved the idea of the book and used my Vintage Summer paper and some Script Tissue Paper to create the idea of paper-sheets. The quality of the paper is such that it holds the curls perfectly. I did use strips of foam-tape between the layers to help  keep the space between the layers. The brown colours come from the top left photo on the board.
I used several white flowers from Petaloo that I sprayed with Ayeeda Mist; Pastel Antique Cream.
I prepared the background paper by giving it a light wash of watered down Gesso. Also sprayed it with the Antique Cream Mist. Used Gel Medium to adhere the two sizes of Glass Beads. Another layer of Gesso and then a healthy layer of Crackle Medium. Once that was dried I sprayed with Dark Brown Chalk Mist. A squirt of water helped the ink settle between the beads and cracks...
The Dusty Attic title was embossed with Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel from Stampendous and the raw leaves painted with Ayeeda Shiny Powder, Antique Gold.
  1. Wow! Wow! Wow! This is divine Patricia!! Love the baby photos .. your DD was so adorable .. and love the book pages you created behind them. The way you've curled and twisted the papers and the flowers placed in between looks absolutely stunning! Gorgeous colours too and I love the crackle and the beads. Totally amazing, innovative and beautiful page! hugs xx
