Yes, I am posting my Dusty Attic June project in July!!! I had this page finished - with a little difficulties health-wise - But just never got to doing the blogging and posting last month... I loved creating this page for the Moodboard and am very Happy with the outcome. I am following a stunning Hand-balance Artist on Facebook , Stefanie Millinger, and when she posted this specific photo last month I knew it was a perfect fit for the moodboard. Thankfully I was granted permission to use it by Stefanie! Do yourself a favor and follow the links to her Face book and Instagram pages, she really is amazing.
I opted to give the page an Industrial look for I think she uses and maintains her body and mind as a well oiled machine and the industrial look suited her personality.
I used papers from 13arts, At Dusk and Postcards from the Blue Magnolia Collection.
On the background I used a Prima stencil with 13arts Modeling paste colored with Orange Rainbow Color and Deco Art Acrylic Pain. I also used Amber Colour Glow with water that settled in the embossed stenciling to give a wonderful glow. Also used Rock Candy Crackle paste and also added Orange Rainbow Color on it. The edges of the papers where distressed with a sanding block and painted with Yellow Amber Ink.
I painted all the Chipboard pieces with Orange paint and added Mermaid Tail, Vivid Yellow and Red Caffeine Paints to created a weathered look on the chipboard. I also added some Brads that I distressed with my Tim Holtz distressing hammer.
I embossed the inside of the Nautical Frame with an Embossing folder. Also added the brads and all the different paints. In the corners I concentrated with more Red Caffeine paint and Patina Bronze mist from 13arts.
I am still a little stingy with my Mitform Casting embellishments but did use a few pieces on this page!
That's it then friends...hope you enjoyed this page and I'll be back soon with more for this month...
From the Dusty Attic online Shop I used the following...
When you realize how perfect everything is
you will tilt your head back
and laugh at the sky.
