Good day Blog Friends
There is still time left to participate in the June Moodboard challenge from Dusty Attic.
I chose to beautify two small Notebooks. They are always handy and welcome as gifts.
Although the project itself is small, I added four different Dusty chipboard elements and several mediums to make it interesting and in line with the Moodboard colours.
I used a Texed image paper from Authentique Classique collection to cover the Notebooks. I used clear Gesso as a base. Then did some stenciling with Fresh Orange Metallique Paint.
I also used 13Arts Rainbow Color Orange and Yellow Amber and Amber Color Glow.
On the Broken bits I had a very interesting technique happening once I used my Heatgun. As I painted it with Gesso before adding Lindy's Stampgang embossing powders - Hyacinth Blue Green, the embossing formed cells as it heated. I really like the effect. Did a little experiment and found Cadence Primer and 13Arts white Gesso gave the best cells.
The Swirly vine was painted with a layer of Distressed Crackle paint and once dried painted with the Orange Acrylic Paint.
The Jigsaw pieces were inked with Tea Dye Distress Oxide ink, stamped and embossed with Vintage Beeswax Texture embossing powder.
These are the items from Dusty Attic's online store ...
Thank you for your visit and have a wonderful week.
The pages are still blank,
but there is a miraculous feeling
of the words being there,
written in invisible ink
and clamoring to become visible.
