It was about time to re-do a Tissues Box that I made in November 2013 as a DT project for Tresors de Luxe!!! {linked to original post}
I ripped of the laces and elements but kept the paper layers, lacing on the sides and the beads on top.
I gave it two layers of Gesso. Then some stenciling with Prima Paper Paste. I used several Prima molds with Stamperia Soft Clay.
I wanted to create a Baroque looking effect. At first I wanted to keep to a monochromatic colour scheme of just the green and a little black, but felt it did need a little more color in the end. I painted with the same Green color of my studio walls and Raven Black Sparks Acrylic paint. I used Golden Calcite Color Glow from 13arts for the copper effect. It ended up being a little to bright to my liking, I mixed a drop of the Sparks with the Color Glow mix and went over the copper...Much better effect!
I also rubbed Charcoal Black Matt wax, Mystic Turquoise and Peacock waxes on a few spots as highlights.
I guess the box will now do for another seven years before I itch to alter it again lol....
If you gaze at the clouds,
close your eyes for five minutes,
then re-open them and the clouds are different,
you don't freak out about it.
So,
why do you worry when things shift and change in your life?
New day,
sky,
every moment too.

Wishing all a lovely weekend, take care....
