~~ Altered Tissues Box ~~
August 2020

It was about time to re-do a Tissues Box that I made in November 2013 as a DT project for Tresors de Luxe!!! {linked to original post}
I ripped of the laces and elements but kept the paper layers, lacing on the sides and the beads on top.

I gave it two layers of Gesso. Then some stenciling with Prima Paper Paste. I used several Prima molds with Stamperia Soft Clay.
I wanted to create a Baroque looking effect. At first I wanted to keep to a monochromatic colour scheme of just the green and a little black, but felt it did need a little more color in the end. I painted with the same Green color of my studio walls and Raven Black Sparks Acrylic paint. I used Golden Calcite Color Glow from 13arts for the copper effect. It ended up being a little to bright to my liking, I mixed a drop of the Sparks with the Color Glow mix and went over the copper...Much better effect!
I also rubbed Charcoal Black Matt wax, Mystic Turquoise and Peacock waxes on a few spots as highlights.

I guess the box will now do for another seven years before I itch to alter it again lol....

If you gaze at the clouds,
close your eyes for five minutes,
then re-open them and the clouds are different,
you don't freak out about it.
So,
why do you worry when things shift and change in your life?
 New day,
sky,
every moment too.

August 2020 Dusty Attic Moodboard

 Hello Blogger Friends...

Today I am sharing my Dusty Attic Moodboard project with you.
My little models are Pablo and Machi just after they got a bath and waiting for the brushing session.
For this page I used two sheets of  Mintay papers - Secret Place. I folded one into a concertina fan and placed it on the other.
The fan created lovely depth for me to add all the flowers and other elements.

All the chipboards were primed with Gessso. I mixed Lindy's Stampgang Merry-go-round Green Magical powder with 13arts Liquid Acrylic medium and painted the Iron Garnish and the stems of the Vine Corner with the mix. The leaves of the Vine Corner got some Paper Texture Paste from Finnabair. I mixed some Titanium White and True Yellow Liquid Acrylic paint and painted the leaves. Old White Matt wax was used to highlight the Paper Paste texture. I went over the green of the tendrils with some of the yellow paint as well to add some definition.

The title chippie was painted with the different paints as well. I realized that it needed to stand out more, therefor I swiped some Vintage Photo Distress ink over it. Also used the Matt wax on top.
In the folds of the fan I sprinkled Gold Dust Embossing Powder and Mica flakes from Stampendous and set it with my Heatgun.
Some colored Gauss, flowers and Dried Roots finished the page.

The following chipboards were used from the Dusty Attic On-line shop.

August 2020 Dusty Attic Blogpost

 Hello Dusty Attic friends
Sharing with you today a page made using a sheet of paper from Colourblast's Graffiti Grunge. The papers in this range are just amazingly
designed by Michelle Grant. The photo is from Pinterest.

Although the paper is fit to use as is, I love playing with medias and therefor I primed the page with Clear Gesso first. I used Cadence Beton effect Paste through a Brick stencil... There is a big patch behind my photo as well...lol...At least I know it is there and it was fun and satisfying to create it!
I used a mix of 13arts Color Glow Tanzanite and Tiger Eye with water to colour between the Bricks and also around the edges of the page. I also stenciled with Black Gesso and several stencils around the edges.

The Industrial Corner and Notepad Edge Frame piece were embossed with Iron Age Mixed Media powder from Cosmic Shimmer.

On the Polaroid Frame and Brick Broken Bits I used the Beton Paste randomly. I highlighted with some Green Splash ink from 13arts and some of the Colour Glow ink as well.
Finnabair Art Ingredients Zinc Glass Beads and Platinum Glass Glitter adds more interest to the page.

All of the chipboards and much more is available at the Dusty Attic on-line shop.

I hope you enjoyed my project for this month...
