Haus of W giveaway...

Good Morning blog friends...

I never got round to posting the news that my name was drawn by Ingvild Bolme as a surprise winner in the draw she hosted to promote her new blog...I am super exited to be receiving some Prima products, but more so the fact that she made a special little canvas for me...Can one be more happy to know that I will soon be the owner of an original Ingvild creation?

Yes !!!, I would be over the moon Happy if Lady Luck smiled upon me and my name could be drawn for Frank Carcia from Haus of W's giveaway ! Frank is one of my newest Scrapping Idols...this young man creates the most stunning creations with Prima's goodness...He  had the opportunity to do his first 'Live With Prima Show' on Thursday and created this beautiful Cafe Album which he is giving away as a Thank You to one...or maybe two, of his followers...

Do yourselves a favour and watch the video and his LO's that he creates...they are really worth the visit!

Till next time... Adiós!

** SteamPunk **

Hello fellow bloggers!

This months ATC theme at Dusty Attic is "Steampunk" Now I have seen LO's categorised as being Steampunk, but I never really grasped the definition until Chantelle  showed me some Steampunk images...oh my...I think I might be in love with a new style! Well, now that I tried my hand at a little Steampunk, who knows, maybe I might even try a LO soon!

I hope you enjoy viewing my ATC's as much as I enjoyed making them...
Remember to double click for a close up view...

I used Dusty Attic's Wings #2. After they were separated, I painted them with Pearl Dabber. The top layer was then painted with a generous coating of Tattered Angel's Glimmer Glaze ~ Flirty ~. I also dusted them with three colours Perfect Pearls; Pewter, Perfect Bronze and Forever Green. The result is an amazing, rusty, worn out look!
The Gears are from out local Enmarc Crafts, they were sprayed with Dazzles Mist and painted with  Brushed Pewter Distress Crackle Paint.
I bought some new Tissue Tape the week end, not taking notice of the design, it just looked good to me, and to my surprise, it had the same motif  as the Tim Holtz stamp that I used on the back ground, it is the Clockwork stamp from his Remnants set. I also punched a clock circle from Tim's  idea-ology Paper Stash.

The Background

This is how I created the backgrounds. I used the Wrinkle free technique with Wild Honey, Peeled Paint and Faded Jeans DI. I then stamped a grid image with Picket Fence Distress Stain. Here one can see the stamped image, I used Perfect Medium and Blue Smoke and Pewter Perfect Pearls.

These ATC's will make their way to Dusty as a swap. Wish I could fit in the envelope and join them...lol!

A close up of the aged Wings.

This then is my try at SteamPunk...Have a great day and thank you for your visit!

“Steampunk is...a joyous fantasy of the past, allowing us to revel in a nostalgia for what never was. It is a literary playground for adventure, spectacle, drama, escapism and exploration. But most of all it is fun!”

Scrap Africa ~ Sketch Challenge #9

~~ Playing Around ~~

A new sketch is on at Scrap Africa... and this is my take on it. And for once, and believe me this does not happen very often, I am actually quite satisfied with the out come! Maybe it's the photos that Chantelle took of Michelle's Matric Farewell, maybe it's my colours...green and black, now how can I go wrong with that, maybe it's all the Prima flowers and goodies or maybe it's because I used my new Tim Holtz stamps and some of Donna Salazar inks and stamp and die's! For once I was able to put embellishments on my LO and not take them of because they didn't seem to fit on the page!

Here then is my 'full' LO ! Hope you enjoy it ...

The actual pieces of netting and the Swarovski crystals were used on her dress.

I used three pieces of the puzzle from Donna's Mix'd Media Playtime die set, inked with Mix'e Media Mossy and Truffle Inx and embossed with UTEE. The stamped image is her Crackle stamp with Pewter Inx. The edges are also Mossy Inx with clear UTEE.

A little Petal Pin from Prima in aPrima flower...The green stamped images are from Tim's new Classic Stamp sets.

Some lace and crystals...

I even have two corners from Ingvild's Shabby Chic Treasures tucked between my flowers.

A wood Banner from Prima's Wood Tickets... The splatter is stamped with a Tim stamp and some Lindys Stamp Gang Moon Shadow Mist...Just love how the Treasure Island Aqua has a soft, lighter brown undertone with a beautiful turquoise shimmer.

Had to add some Dusty Attic to my LO...This Botanic Accent #2 was inked with Mixed Media Inx, embossed with UTEE and misted with Lindys mist... I heat it again after misting and got these lovely puddles of  ink's...

That then is it...

One lucky winner will receive this lovely prize from our sponsor:

There are 17 sheets of Art from the heart papers sponsored by Scrapkits.co.za

And this is your sketch...
