Notable Range by Penelope Dee

Today just a very short post to show this Tag I created using papers, Penelope Dee, from a local producer, Trocraft...These papers are designed by Glenda Viljoen and this particular range, her second of three so far, is called Notable. From this range I used Documented and Memorabilia. I am very impressed with the quality of these papers. Apart from being beautiful designed, they are very strong and durable...On this Tag particularly I used a lot of media and fluid to test the amount of media it can take, and I am pleasantly impressed with the durability!!!

From Dusty Attic I used a Artsy Frame #3. I painted it with the Red Rust Paste from Finnabair and once dry, distressed it with a sanding block. I then painted some Steel Shimmer Glitz Spray from Lindy's Stampgang onto the raw parts. The parcel of letters are from the Memorabilia sheet from Notable tied with a piece of string and a Oh so Beautiful button from Penelope Dee's 'Just Button It', a jar filled with buttons and embellishments also from Trocraft.

I did some stencilling with Texture Paste through the Leaves Stencil, added some half Pearls and beads from the embellishments, sprayed it all with Steampunk Sepia mist and splatted Red and Brown Rust Paste onto it all...

Thank you for your visit and I'll be back soon with another Layout made with the Notable Range....

Secret Birthday Album
~Jennifer Hedger-Owner- Dusty Attic~

Good afternoon Blog friends!
This afternoon finally sees the reveal of a tight kept secret!!! Yes...Girls can actually keep a secret...

Earlier this month saw the.....pssssstttt....40th.....birthday of a very special person! Owner and Boss-lady of Dusty Attic, Jennifer Hedger. To celebrate this milestone and special birthday our Design Team coordinator, Jen Burns got us all together and we each created a special page for Jennifer, which was presented to her at a Retreat this weekend. We had a special 'Secret Stuff' FB group were we posted updates and photos and just had a general good time sharing fun and laughter. We also got to see video clips that Jen took of Jennifer receiving her Album...Tears and laughter even from us all viewing it at home.

These pages are from all over the world and so unique as each individual that created it! I am adding links at the end of the post to all the other DT pages...please visit them and leave some love won't you?

Had to add a little touch of Africa on my page...

I used the following Dusty Attic product on my page. All available from the Dusty Attic on-line Store.

I also used the following products on the page and Chip-boards.

Lindy's Stampgang Mists
Cranbury Mist Burgandy
Cotton Candy Pink
Edelweiss Moss Green

Lindy's Stampgang Embossing Powders
Gilded Burgandy Brass
Orbit Olive Gold
Spring Leaf Chateuse

Prills: I'm A-Maized
Prima/Finnabair Rust Pastes

With their permission I am also posting two pages that are not being blogged, but can most certainly not be missed!!!

This page was done by Sharon Giles, friend and confidant to the two Jen's...

And Jen Burns...Right Hand to the Boss-lady....

Filled to the brim with Lay-outs...with a couple still missing!!!!
Jennifer...May these always remind you of a special Birthday being loved and spoiled by your 2016 Dusty Attic Design Team!!!

May every birthday sweetly bring,
A thousand proofs of love;
A pure and perfect crystal spring
Of bliss from Heaven above!

Dusty Attic September 2016 DT Page

Can one believe it? Spring has sprung here in South Africa! Wasn't it just yesterday that we felt the cold fingers of Winter creeping up on us? We did not have a very cold Winter at all this year, no frost...and the forecast is that we are in for another hot and dry Summer again...Uhg...heat...really wish Winter could stay a little longer!

Anyways...Here I am once again with my Design Team page for Dusty Attic....Thank goodness Michelle takes selfies, That gives me a photo now and then to scrap...lol!

I used some Dusty Attic Clear Crackle Varnish on the top and bottom of the page. Also mixed Dusty Attic Texture Paste with Lindy's Stampgang Magical's, Steel Shimmer and stencilled that on the background. I then sprayed with Lindys Moonshadow, Ethereal Emerald. The Laurel Sprigs and Lace Border #3 are Gesso'd and painted with Indian Copper H2O's.

I used paper from a South African produced range. It is Notable:Classic Era, from the Penelope Dee range by Trocraft, designed by Glenda Viljoen...I found it to be of an amazing quality to add mixed media to. The keys are from them as well.

The Ornate Frame #7  was gesso'd and painted with Dusty Attic paints Hot Chocolate and Storm Cloud  and also sprayed with the Lindy's mist.

From the Dusty Attic On-line store I used the following products....

Hot Chocolate
Storm Cloud
Clear Crackle Varnich

Canvas for September's Dusty Attic Mood-Board

Hello to all my Blogger Friends...
Today I am showcasing my take on the currant Mood-board challenge from Dusty Attic...I made another canvas, 20x15cm, just love playing with a lot of different textures and colours on a canvas...no rules...just FUN!!!

I loved the colours and textures of especially the bottom right image and based my design on that. Also took the Dream-catcher image using Dusty's Dream-catcher #1.

This is what my canvas looked like after all the elements were added and I started to Gesso everything. Here the top half is already gesso'd. I have used several items for texture...Gauze, Fibre, Lace, Prima Mini and Art stones and a thick layer of white crackle paste. The Dusty Attic chipboard pieces are from the Diamond Panel.

To colour the Dream-catcher I mixed Bling-y-Blonde Magical's from Lindy's Stampgang with Tim Holtz Distress Grit Paste and dabbed it onto the Dream-catcher. I also painted on some Tilt-a-Wheel Teal Magical's. The colours on the feathers are done with water colour pencils.

To colour the background I used Twinklink H2O's Nutmeg and Burned Umber followed by a dry brushing of Metallique, Steampunk Copper Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint. The blue is Lindy's Flatfabio, Danny Zuko's Denim and Time Travel Teal Magical's, with a dry brush of Opal Magic, Aqua Rose Art Alchemy Acrylic Paint.
The Dream title was painted with the two colours of magical's and water...

From the Dusty Attic shop I used the following...

Welcome to our September Board for 2016! Use the colours and words for Inspiration. Not only can you use Kraft, black or white cardstock but also it can be anything your heart desires to create, layouts, cards or an off the page project. The only "rule" is that you require Dusty Attic chipboard used on your masterpiece. Just add your link, name and country here to win a $100 Gift Voucher to the Dusty Attic website.
