March-Lindy's Stampgang Colour Challenge

Another nail scrapping entry...

This one is more soft and elegant befitting the gorgeous Mood board at Lindy's Stampgang...
I stared by adhering some tissue paper to the background and added modelling paste through a stencil and white crackling paste to the edges.
The Dress form and Ivy Corners are from Dusty Attic.

I sprayed the background with A Bit o' Bubbly Starburst Spay. On the crackled corners I used South Shore Sand Flat Fabio Spray. On the Swirl and Blossom Stencil I used C'est la Vie Cerise Embossing Powder and on the Mini Dots there are actually two Embossing colours, Cosmic Pink Blue and Orange Creamsickle.

The Ivy Corner was Gesso'd and painted with C'est la Vie Cerise Flat Fabio Spray. On the leaves I painted a little clear crackle accent.

The bodice of the Dress form I painted with Autumn Leave Crimson Mica Powder mixed with Modelling Paste.

This whimsickle  'dress' was another Prima flower that I never knew were to use but could not get to throw out...It's the Tiffany Petals Platinum flower...and so glad I kept it for it made the ideal dress! I cut the petals loose and layered them and filled them with Prima Candy Gems and a few dainty Roses...

The stand was also embossed with Orange Creamsicle.

I can not invite you to play along with this colour challenge...but tomorrow is a new month meaning another Challenge will be up at Lindy's Stampgang!

Follow this link to the challenge...

March - Prima Product Pick

Hello dear Bloggy friends...

I am scrapping in on the last skins of my bottom for this Prima Product Pick challenge!!!

I made this canvas with a lot of Love for some one special...have finally also done a paintbrush alter, and boy it was such fun...will have to do another one soon...

Using the beautiful Teal colours from the Prima mood board I used Glistening Waves Color Bloom Mist and Tea Stain Mist on the background. The Teal flower behind the Resin Angel is a very old Prima flower that I have had for ages, and finally I found a use for it on this canvas. The rest of the flowers as well as the Glass Pebble are also from Prima.

The wings are from Dusty Attic and were placed in warm water for a few seconds to separate the three layers. I curled them a little, let them dry and gave them a final blast with my Heat gun to really make them curl. They were painted with Silver and Teal paints and the two top layers were dusted with Gold, Blue, Copper and Green Perfect Pearls.

I used Modelling Paste and White Crackling Pastes from Art Basics.

Between the brushes I painted a little Lime Wedge Mist as accent. I also have some Mulberry Mica Flakes and Pearl Glass Glitter on here. I also coloured some of the Glass Glitter with alcohol ink for extra colour.

Hold fast to dreams,
for if dreams die,
life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly.

Thank you for having a look at my work...always appreciate any visits!!!

Scraps of Elegance February Kit

In the February kit, 'Lisa's Love Notes' from Scraps of Elegance...we have several sheets of Prima's Epiphany Collection Papers...As well as a gorgeous selection of different Prima flowers!!! I put them all to good use on this page with a photo of Michelle.

I tore and layered two sheets and curled the edges. I wet my background paper with some water and flicked some of the 'Love Struck' glaze from the Colour Add-on onto it resulting in a bleeding effect.  I made a paste using the DeciArt texture paste mixed with some Champagne Gelatos from the Creativity Add-on which I spread through the Crafters Workshop stencil. I also did some stencilling with the Verca Colour, also from the Colour Add-on...

I painted the chipboard with the glaze and added a little of the Stampendous Mica Fragments.

The vellum Hearts are from Jillibean Soup...in the Element Add-on.

To achieve the curled and distressed look of the black Tulle from the Main Kit...I used my Heat-gun to melt the edges...very carefully, otherwise you will burn it! I did mine before I added the photo for the heat will damage the photo. I also did some stamping with the Blue Fern stamps from the Elements Add-on.

I will soon have another project ready for you...in the meantime you can see more gorgeous work from my fellow Design Team friends here at the Scraps of Elegance Blog...
Also visit the Scraps of Elegance Shop to sign up for the monthly kits...

Look at us,
said the violets blooming at her feet,
all last winter we slept in the seeming death
but at the right time God awakened us,
and here we are to comfort you.
