New Beginnings

This LO was made with a competition pack hosted by a favourite scrapbook shop of mine called Fruitful-Hands... It was quite a challenge for this isn't papers and Embellishments that I would normally buy! It took me out of my comfort zone for a while and made me ponder on what kind of LO I should make with it. In the end it ended up as  a layered, distressed, punched LO anyhow...just what I usually do, there for mission failed for I did not do any thing different than usual! LOL!

This photo is so precious to me for it is me and my Father when I was but a few months old. At the time we were still living in the Netherlands...

The papers are from Ruby Rock-it, the Bella! Wedding Range.

We were given the heart shaped die cuts, I rolled mine to give some dimension and cut one in half to layer it. I also stamped the image of the butterfly with the stamp provided. We couldn't use our cutting machines or die cuts, but could use flower and butterfly punches.

The title is from the local chipboard manufactor,  Celeb8. I coloured it with Distress Stains and sprinkled coarse salt on it to absorb the inks and gave it a topping of clear UTEE.

The leaves were punched from a piece of foil that was provided and coloured with Alcohol Inks and Snow Cap Mixative...hope leaves count as part of flowers!!! The little flowers and butterflies were also punched from the foil.

I cut the lace into three and gathered it to make some lace flowers.

Now of course I am the only one with a single page LO...I really have no illusion of winning...I would actually apreciate some acknowledgement for my work and who knows maybe somewhere along the line some Design Team work. Now that would give me tremendous satisfaction!!!

Thank you for having a look at my scribblings again...have a wonderful day!

~~~ Captured Moments ~~~
I used the same photo of me and George as before...firstly because I had two different sizes developed,and secondly, it is so rare to get a good photo of the two of us together... therefore I need to use the opportunity when it comes along!
This LO is made for my DT challenge at Enmarc Crafts...this month we once again got some darling chippies to play with!
These are little Birds on a Wire from Enmarc Craft... aren't they just to cute?
Instead of using crackle paint on top of a painted chippie, I used a Fast Crack craft paint. I first painted the chippie in blue,when dried I painted the Fast Crack...again let it dry and then painted the pink layer...the cracks appear quite fast!
The Perfect Picture
Natasha's challenge at Girlie Grunge was to use Hearts, Pink and /or Red and Pearls... This is my first all out Donnalisious LO using my new stash of Donna's products! I used papers from her Antiquities Paper stack. Her stamps Weathered Trim and Flower in that's soooo pretty! Mix'd Media Inx Truffle, Chiffon, Peridot and Jasmine. Also used Smooch Spritz and Fairy Dust Glitter and the Carnation Creation die set.
The photo is me and hubby on vacation in 2010...It is one of those, position the camera on a the timer button and run to pose with him pictures!!!
I stamped the outside of the heart with the Mix'd Media Inx in the Chiffon, Peridot and Truffle colours.
The flower was made using the Carnation Creation die, I dusted some Fairy Dust Glitter on it.The leaves were coloured with Smooch Spritz.
The lacy heart was white...I coloured it with two colours of Spritz. I grunged the ribbon by applying my heat gun to it to to make it twist and turn...this is a very cool effect I learned in one of Donna's videos!
 This is a piece of transparent that I cut with a Tim Holtz die and coloured with Jasmine Inx and Fairy Dust Glitter. My photo isn't to good can not see the glitter,sorry about that!
I did some resist stamping inside of the heart...the following photos will show that.
I used Donna's stamp Flower in lace, stamped and heat embossed in clear and then blended the inside of the heart with Chiffon Inx. Please remember to click on the photo and then on the looking glass...that will take you in really close to see the effect...
That is all for today! Have a wonderful week....
Remember Wonderful times
Hello to all on this Sunday Afternoon...I made it just in time for this weeks case file #4 over at C.S.I !!!I loved the colour combination, but did not really know which photos to use...going through my stack I discovered these,and they were a perfect match for the challenge!
These photos were taken during a trip that we won to Mauritius in 2007 with our Christmas Light decorations!We took a catamaran trip along the coast and were treated to swimming and snorkelling and a wonderful fish braai!!! Hazy,lazy days!!!
As Testimony I used picture frames to hold my journal that was done in steps.
As evidence I used a rub on frame around hubby and me. As wet medium I sprayed the outer punched frame with Glimmer mist and used Colour wash on the back ground paper.I used striped PP and Rhinestones on my frame.I also stamped an image with clear ink and embossed it with clear UTEE for something shiny!!!
Here are some more close ups...
Thank you for the visit....have a stress free week.I am hoping to get much more done than I did this week...Adios!
~~ 2 Sweet ~~
I made this LO as my challenge as 'Panel Team Lady' at Crafty Treasures...I also used my October products that I received from Enmarc Grafts and also for Natasha's challenge at the Girly Grunge site! Now how is that for multi scrapping?
My challenge is to do any kind of paper folding...I am hoping that there will be some new techniques for me to try as well! The ladies must also use any amount of either/or eyelets or brads and do some stitching as well.
I made this beautiful Rose using Donna Salazar's Rose Creation die by Spellbinder and Natasha's tutorial on her Cabbage Rose ...I used Donna's super glitzy,sparkling, shiny Fairy Dust Glitter! Isn't it such a pretty Rose??
The LO didn't want to work for me...something was missing. I wanted to do a lot of layering,but that didn't work with the door frame that I created with the brick masking...I had to step away from it for a day or two...kind of, for I kept trying different scenario's ... I ended up stamping a wood grain image on the frame and cut a 'door' into it, mimicking a stable door...and, voilà !!! it looked so much better!
The chippies are all from our local Enmarc Crafts...and they were painted with Gesso and then spritzed with two colours of Donna's Smooth Spritz. The brick effect was done by using a pemplate and Tim Holtz Distress Crackling Paint.
Thank you once again for looking, and please try your hand at my challenge hosted by Crafti Treasures!!!
Happyness ???
I can't spell properly...and didn't use a spell I actually thought it didn't look right but only went to the trouble to check the spelling after all was cut and glued...A well, so be it,sometimes I am Happy and sometimes I might be Happi!!!
I actually wanted to make a page that was light and dainty,but ended up with a darker LO usual!I think next time I must try and stick to whites only and see how that works out.
But I still like the out come of this page...Had fun using 4 pieces of Dusty Attic on it,made some flowers with my Tim Holtz die and used my newly bought Prima swirls with the tiny roses on!
The key hole from Dusty Attic was inked with glimmer mist and embossed when dried
The Tim Holtz Tattered Floral was stained with Distress Stains and embossed.The idea is to emboss/deboss  in order to get a large de bossed surface into which you spread the crackle medium.Then scrape the excess   of with a piece of card stock which will leave you with the crackle medium in the hollow of the de bossed image...If you click on the image and then on the magnifying glass you will get a good look at the cracked petals...
The Dusty Attic pieces were painted with Gesso to seal them and then painted with Glimmer Glam.I used some brown chalk on the sides.
Have a super day and thank you for your visit!!!!
